Return to the Doctor

The pain had become so unbearable that I truly couldn't ignore it anymore! Scott and the kids would come near my back and I would cringe. Anything that even lightly brushed against it was agony. I went back to the doctor and let him know the muscle relaxers in no way helped manage the pain. The bump had gotten larger and he still didn't look/feel it. He instead sent me to get an x-ray.

1st Visit to the Doctor

I visited my primary care doctor to have this bump checked out. He didn't palpate it or even look at it. I found this to be a little odd but didn't say anything. He gave me some muscle relaxers but they didn't work. This was what I had anticipated and the primary reason for me ignoring the pain for so long. I didn't want to take medicines to mask the problem. I wanted to fix the problem.

I Found a Lump!

I had been having some pain in my lower left back but continued to ignore it. It wasn't until I caught a glimpse of my side profile in the mirror did I realize that there was something wrong. The lump was just above my left hip, on my back and I could cup the entire mass in the palm of my hand. Scott and I decided I should have it checked out by my doctor.
